A Message to our Customers

Dear Customer,

While we have held our prices at the same level for the last two years, we have had to increase our prices but we feel with this modest price increase that our trees and products are very competitively priced. Itasca Greenhouse specializes in Northern hardy seed sources and we would be happy to supply your seedling needs.

Order early, as we are selling more and more of our stock each year. Even with the new greenhouse addition, we are selling out of some of the more popular species. Many of our customers are ordering earlier each year and more are having us custom or contract grow seedlings to meet their needs.

Get your trees off to a good start by using mycorrhizal inoculants, weed barrier mats, and anti-transpirants. Many of our repeat customers are using the Plant Success Soluble and find that they can overcome losses due to unexpected environmental stress and get their seedlings off to a good start. Mycorrhizal inoculants stay with the tree for the rest of the trees' life, growing with the tree, supplying nutrients and buffering the trees from environmental stress.

Are you getting mad at deer and other animals browsing on your trees? We offer browse deterrents, including spray on repellents (Plantskydd^TM and Tree Guard^TM), tree shelters, bud cap netting and deer net fence. We are handling deer net fence that installs vertically and is quite effective in directing deer away from your trees.

We are now carrying a new tool, the Staple - Driver, developed by one of our customers to drive turf staples without bending over. It can speed up any turf stapling project and reduce the fatigue of putting in 6" turf staples. Our customers are using it in installing tree mats, deer net fencing, ground cover and erosion blankets.

The demand for our tree seedlings packaged for special occasions continues to grow. Be Green!! We are located in north central Minnesota approximately 5 miles west of Grand Rapids and 10 miles east of Deer River. From Rt 2 in Cohasset take County 87 South for approximately one mile, turn left at the "Boswell Energy Center" sign onto the Blackwater Rd, which is the public access road to the Mississippi River, and Itasca Greenhouse will just be a short distance on your right.
