Plantskydd Information/Application

Plantskydd  Deer Repellent

For Application on DRY plants

  • Dipping plants in solution treats approximately 600-800 plants/tree seedlings
  • Spraying plants with solution treats approximately 400-600 plants/tree seedlings

Treatment - Soluble Powder Formula - Plantskydd
APPLY ON DRY PLANTS
  • Dip/Spray mainly tops of plant - until wet.
  • FLOWER - spray mainly on green leaves.
  • Expect some reduction in efficacy in warmer/sunny climates.
  • Always treat new growth
  • Test sample plants to determine sensitivity.
  • Needles/leaves darken temporarily after treatment - original color returns in 18-36 hours.
  • Apply at above freezing temperature.
  • Avoid application in direct hot sunlight - for best results, apply in early morning or late afternoon.
  • Treating Pine seedlings during bud flush is not recommended (OK before/after bud flush period).
  • Spray mainly green parts of plants and avoid blossoms.
  • DO NOT spray directly onto fruit or vegetables - wash before eating.
  • Avoid spraying concrete or wood.
  • Allow to dry 1-2 days before watering.

Deer repellent

mixing Plantskydd
  1. Pour powder into mixing container.
  2. Slowly stir equal parts of warm water into powder to make a lump less paste/slurry (a kitchen whisk is ideal).
  3. Add rest of water. Stir gently. Avoid foaming. Allow to stand for 20 minutes.
  4. Pour solution through fine mesh filter or cheese cloth into pressure-type sprayer.

Use mixed solution within 2 days. Seal unused powder and store in a cool, dry, dark place for up to 2 years.

Normal Precautions
  • DO NOT ingest powder/solution.
  • Wash hands before eating.
  • If solution comes into contact with eyes or skin, wash/flush with water.
  • do not place treated plants/ seedlings in sealed container for more than a few days - unless refrigerated.
  • Rinse sprayer, gloves and planting equipment after use.
  • Do not rinse or empty sprayer within 30 feet (10 meters) of waterways.
  • Use mixed solution within 2 day.
  • Seal unused powder and store in a cool. dry, dark place for up to 2 years.
