Advantages of Shipping in the Container

- Seedlings can be held in the containers for long periods allowing planting when convenient and when conditions are best for the customer. Put them in the shade and water as needed with a lawn sprinkler to keep the seedlings adequately moist.
- Planting shock is minimal when trees are removed from the block and directly planted.
- The container offers an easy means of handling seedlings without having to worry about keeping the roots moist.
- Seedlings at all stages of growth may be shipped and planted from the container (dormant, hardened off, or actively growing).
We encourage our customers to take delivery of their trees in the container.

Extracting and Grading
Seedlings can be extracted from the container and placed in a plastic lined box for shipping. Options include grading by size and bundling groups of 15 to 50 in plastic sheets.

Cooler Storage
Our new walk-in cooler gives you the flexibility of receiving dormant seedlings for December to June delivery. Dormant seedlings will be extracted and boxed for storage in the cooler in the late fall for outside stock, and late March for stock grown in our winter crop in the greenhouse. Orders for cooler storage should be placed by November 15th for outside stock and March 1st for inside stock. The following charges are to be added to the extracting charges above.
